Horse Ride at Stanley Park

We were going to take a walk around Stanley Park, but during our walk from the parking lot, we happened across a woman shoveling hay. We asked her what she was doing and suddenly realized we were at a stable. She showed us the horse and told us they were used to pull a carriage. She gave us directions to the ticket booth about half a mile away.

We bought tickets and got on the ride. We were sitting in front and the kids had a great time until Richard started getting an allergic reaction. We don’t know what he was allergic to, possibly the horse so we switched seats with people in the back row.

We learned a lot of history of how Vancouver came about. We learned about the indiginous people. We saw some amazing trees.

After the tour, the drivers gave us a ride back to our car because they were heading back to the stable anyway, so we had the whole carriage to ourselves.
