Valentines and Chinese New Year

For the next two weeks, we exchanged phone calls, text messages, and emails. Due to the distance, our next date was February 13th, 2010 which was both Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year!

For the occassion, I reserved dinner at Tommy Toy’s which is a French-Chinese restaurant in San Francisco. They’re no longer around, but I wish it had stayed open so that we could go back.

The original plan was for me to pick her up early Saturday morning, spend time with her during the day, and then eat a romantic dinner, and then take her home that night.

The day pretty much went by in a blur. I don’t remember what we did during the day. Around 5pm or so, we went back to my place to change for dinner. She brought along some dinner clothes and we went to dinner. I wish I took some pictures of that night because she was beautiful.

Dinner was awesome, even though it was more expensive than Li would have liked. She is practical that way. Especially for Chinese food.

Anyway, after dinner, we were driving around San Francisco, when she said she was tired. I offered to take her home. Another option was that she could stay overnight at my place. She said she didn’t have any her toiletries. I then took her to a 24 hour Walgreens so she could get all the supplies she needed.

When we got back to my place, I gave her the bed and told her I would be sleeping on the couch. She said that if nothing happened, I could sleep in the bed with her. Being the gentleman, that’s exactly what happened. It was really nice to sleep with a woman in my bed again.
